I took them to the doctor on Tuesday and they tested positive for the Swine Flu. The never got really sick. It seemed more or less like a cold for Holly and John had a higher temperature and didn't really feel like eating much for a few days. Holly hasn't lost her appetite at all. LOL! That girl can eat! They are doing much better now. The doctor said they couldn't go to school for 7 days!!! He's worried about it still being contagious.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu/qa.htm"><strong>How long can an infected person spread this virus to others?</strong></a><br />People infected with seasonal and 2009 H1N1 flu shed virus and may be able to infect others from 1 day before getting sick to 5 to 7 days after. I'll do one soon. We moved into our new house at the end of May and have been working on fixing it up. So far we have built a pond out front, painted the master bedroom and the two bathrooms, put new flooring in the master bath and brought 30 sheets of drywall down to the basement. We've also done a bunch of other little things.<br /><br />It seems like any big projects are going to be put on hold come November. We just found out that Stephan has to go to Kosovo from November til May. There goes the retirement. :( Oh well, maybe he can retire next summer!!! Summer makes for a better party any way! :)<br /><br />Holly has been staying at the house with me this past month. The kids have been getting along pretty good. They complain about chores, but hey, what kid doesn't? LOL! Holly has been helping me cook a lot. She's getting to be pretty good at it!<br /><br />John just got a <a style="color: rgb(0, 153, 0);" href="http://www.beardeddragoncare.net/">bearded dragon</a>. He's very sweet. He likes to be held and likes John to hand feed him.<br /><br />Well, that's it for now. We had a great time! Stephan who had a fit about having to camp, but went any way... had a great time! LOL! I tried to tell him he would but he didn't believe me til it happened. <span style="font-weight: bold;">I told you so Sweetie!!!</span> LOL! The kids did good. Holly hung out with some of the other older kids that went along.<br /><br />We went to the <a href="http://www.tybeemarinescience.org/">Marine Science Center</a> first. They took us on a tour of the beach. It's amazing how many things are on the beach! Things that I thought were balls of sand were living creatures! We found all kinds things on the beach. The kids had fun. The lack of pics of Holly is not because I'm always running after John with a camera. It's because she runs from me when I have a camera! The evil little thing won't let me take her picture!!! We got to see them fire the cannons, do a musket demonstration and had a tour of the fort. We learned a lot about the war and the history of the fort. If you didn't notice from the name it was named after a polish guy. :) <a href="http://www.nps.gov/fopu/historyculture/casimir-pulaski.htm">"Casimir Pulaski</a> is remembered in many ways. In Poland, he is remembered as a man who fought for freedom on two continents, and is given the title "Soldier of Liberty." We set up camp had a campfire and relaxed a bit. Saturday after all the activities we all went back to camp and cooked up a <a href="http://www.coastalliving.com/food/entertaining/lowcountry-boil-00400000001984/">low country boil</a>. I wish I had gotten pics of it but I didn't. :( They had huge pots with crab boil seasoning, potatoes, corn on the cob, polish sausage, shrimp, and cajun seasoning. You cook it all then you dump the pots on tables with newspaper. I guess this is a common thing, but it was a first for me! This past weekend John had his Cross Over Ceremony for Cub Scouts. He has been a bear all year and he has now become a Webelo!!! I'm so proud of him. Muahahahaha!!! Hehe! So, next year I will be the Assistant Pack Master and the year after that I will be the Pack Master.
